I Built My Own Servo Eliminator For 9 Bucks.

How To Build Your Own Exhaust Servo Eliminator

As the title say's, How to build your own "Exhaust Servo Eliminator" For "ONLY" The Gen 1, 2, & 3 ZX10R's.
I also build one's for the Gen 4 and ZX6R's too,
but you will have to PM me or email me at gen1zx10r@gmail.com

THIS MOD DOES NOT WORK ON ZX6R's OR GEN 4 ZX10R's OR Z1000's

Also, If you cannot build them, PM or email me and I can do it for you.




1. I made up the capacitor / resistor circuit (Pictured Below)
Make sure the direction on the capacitor is correct / The arrows << on the Capacitor face the Black wire.

The resistors do not matter as far as the direction, they work either way.
Once you are sure about your circuit, solder it all together.

Then, mix up the epoxy in approx 1" W x 2" L x 1/2" D plastic tray,
it comes as part of the packaging of the epoxy.

Then submerse the Exhaust Servo Eliminator in the epoxy to where the top is covered.
This is for durability and insulation.

Once it has hardened and dried. Use a grinder or buffer to smooth
out any sharp edges or rough spots.

Next, wrap in electrical tape and plug it in.

I have installed this on my bike and
NO FI light after removing the servo motor.

I rode the bike for about an hour & 1/2 in all gears and throttle positions.



1 last thing to add.
If you don't want it to bounce around in the bike, get some sticky backed velcro and attach it to the subtray.
Also, I gotta give PROPS to Racejunkie05 for showing me the circuit.

Here is a way to make room in the back part of the sub tray for more items.
Once you remove the servo motor, your PCIII can go there and have all kinds of room in the back.

Thanks everybody. I removed my servo motor and installed my PC3 in place of it.
And still have the cubby space free. Wasn't done for weight savings.

Is it my imagination, or is the capacitor in the pic installed backwards? Looks to me like the - side is attached to the black wire.

I could certainly make some of these up. I've already got the white connectors on hand for Suzuki TREs I build. The yellow connector doesn't look too exotic. I have a source for custom PC boards. The parts certainly aren't exotic.

The capacitor is installed correctly.
The arrows on it pointing towards the black wire.

And I wasn't doing it as a mass production item.
More of a DIY project for people to build themselves.
Not trying to make any money off it, just sharing information.
But will help anybody interested.

Almost forgot. I put my p/c in place of my servo motor and used sticky back velcro
to secure it down. And still have room for an ignition module on top of the p/c without taking up the cubby space.

If it can be done on a 10 it must work on a 6, i rmember when i had my 636 for years no one could and have still not yet figure it out, the only option is a 100$ ivans eleminator.

Glad you posted this I was having a bad day and now I'm sick. $9 vs the $96 I spent for my servo buddy. WOW But I've got to hand it to ya FANTASTIC JOB.......

Hella yeah. Nice job!
Even if you bought a used Servo off Flebay for $20 bucks and bought these parts it would come out to be less then 1/2 the price still!!

As the title say's, I built my own servo buddy for 9 bucks.

Note : The Gen 1 and 2 wire connections for the exhaust servo motor
are exactly the same. I don't know about the Gen 3 or 4.

I got a servo motor wire harness, purchased the pictured capacitor,
resistors, and epoxy. All for 9 bucks.

Once you are sure about your circuit, solder it all together.

This removes your exhaust servo motor from under seat freeing up a lot of space.


My question to hellsrazor is does this act as a tre or just grounds the system so it doesnt throw a fi code?

oh so everyone knows I just ran the schematic's and this mod will work on any 2004-2010 zx10r or any 2005-2011 zx6r! We all have the same servo:eek:ccasion1

I followed hellsrazor's diagram and everything is working just fine on my Gen 3. Thanks!! Made some room for my PC5

If you have the service manual, take a photo of the wiring diagram for it
(Servo Motor) and a photo of the connectors for the servo motor
on the bike and I'll take a look at it.
They may not have changed it up.
